If you have any questions about this Privacy Policy or wish to exercise your data rights, please contact our Data Protection team at contact@amesmo.com.
Data Sharing & Third Parties
We may share personal data with trusted third parties to deliver our services (for example, our marketing partners or service providers). Where we share data:
- We act as independent data controllers when determining our own purposes and means of processing.
- We act as a data processor only when processing data on behalf of another controller and under their instructions.
All third parties are required to process personal data in compliance with applicable data protection laws and maintain appropriate security measures.
Special Category Data
We do not intentionally collect or process special category (sensitive) personal data such as information about health, race, religion, or sexual orientation. We only collect information necessary to provide quotes, offers, or services relevant to your enquiry.
Use of Cookies
This website uses cookies to improve your experience. Where applicable, a cookie control system allows you to manage cookie use on your first visit — in compliance with legislation requiring explicit consent before reading or storing cookies on your device.
Cookies are small files saved to your device that track, save, and store information about your interactions with the website, allowing us to provide a tailored experience. If you wish to block all cookies, adjust your browser’s security settings accordingly.
We use tracking software (Google Analytics and in some cases third parties) to better understand how visitors use our site. This software uses cookies to track engagement but does not store, save, or collect personal information. You can read Google’s privacy policy at google.com/privacy.html.

Cookie Control
You can delete cookies or instruct your browser to delete or refuse them via your browser’s help pages. Note that doing so may prevent some features from working or cause pages to display incorrectly.
Microsoft Clarity
Our website may use Microsoft Clarity for analysis. Clarity may record mouse clicks, mouse movements, page scrolling, and any text keyed into website forms. The information collected does not include bank details or any sensitive personal data. Data collected is for InsuranceCompare internal use only and is used to improve website usability, stored for aggregated and statistical reporting.
Contact & Communication
Users contacting this website do so at their own discretion and provide any personal details at their own risk. Your personal information is kept private and stored securely until it is no longer required, as detailed in the Data Protection Act 1998.
We use any information submitted to provide further information about our products/services or to assist with queries. This includes subscribing you to email newsletters only where this was made clear to you and your express permission was granted when submitting a form — or where you previously purchased or enquired about a product the newsletter relates to. Your details are not passed on to any third parties.
Email Newsletter
This website operates an email newsletter used to inform subscribers about products and services. Users can subscribe through an online automated process at their own discretion. Some subscriptions may be manually processed through prior written agreement.
Subscriptions comply with UK Spam Laws (Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations 2003). All personal details are held securely under the Data Protection Act 1998. No details are passed to third parties outside the company. You may request a copy of information held by writing to the business address at the bottom of this policy.
Marketing emails may contain tracking to measure open rates, link clicks, forwarding, and frequency — used to refine future campaigns and provide more relevant content.
External Links
Although this website only looks to include quality, safe, and relevant external links, users are advised to exercise caution before clicking any external links mentioned throughout this website. The owners cannot guarantee or verify the contents of any externally linked website and cannot be held liable for any damages or implications caused by visiting them.
Adverts & Sponsored Links
This website may contain sponsored links and adverts served through our advertising partners, who may have their own detailed privacy policies relating to the adverts they serve. Clicking on such adverts will send you to the advertiser’s website through a referral program which may use cookies. Users click on sponsored external links at their own risk and this website cannot be held liable for any damages or implications caused.
Social Media Platforms
Communication and actions taken through external social media platforms are subject to the terms and privacy policies of each respective platform. We will never ask for personal or sensitive information through social media and encourage users wishing to discuss sensitive details to contact us directly by telephone or email.
This website may use social sharing buttons. Users are advised that using these buttons may allow the social media platform to track and save your request.
We or our social media accounts may share shortened URLs (e.g. bit.ly links). Users should take caution before clicking shortened links as social media platforms can be prone to spam, and we cannot be held liable for any damages caused by visiting shortened links.
Who We Share Your Data With
Depending on your enquiry, your data will be passed to one or more of the following FCA-regulated partners who will contact you by phone, email, or SMS:
Life Insurance
- British Seniors Insurance Agency — Authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority
We Work with Contact State
We work with Contact State to pass your request to our partners correctly. Contact State provides lead validation services and receives “de-identified” data from us — devoid of any contact information or anything else identifying you as an individual. It uses this data to confirm your request was submitted by a real human and not an automated generator, by examining a “browser fingerprint” containing details such as your device model, browser, and the region from which you submitted your request.
Contact State retains that de-identified data as “data controller” and uses it to help verify requests submitted through other websites. We also use Contact State to check some basic submission details (e.g. postcode) and to route your submission to the insurance providers we work with, acting as our “data processor” — it does not use the raw data for its own purposes.
If you do not want us to pass your de-identified data to Contact State, please email admin@amesmo.com. You can find out more about how Contact State uses this data at contactstate.com.
